Critical to biodiversity conservation is the formulation of policies and guidelines for protecting and managing ecosystems and the wildlife resources therein. To strengthen this endeavor, the Biodiversity Management Bureau-Biodiversity Policy and Knowledge Management Division (BMB-BPKMD) hosted a two-day Learning Event (LE) on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA). The LE oriented and capacitated the participants on the key concepts and importance of RIA as an integral part in formulating evidence-based regulatory mechanisms and policies. Technical staff from the BMB as well as representatives from the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), Forest Management Bureau (FMB), Land Management Bureau (LMB), and Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB) attended the training.
