The Local Government of Naic, Cavite State University-Naic (CvSU-Naic), Shoreline Kabalikat Sa Kaunlaran Incorporated (SKKI), Far East Maritime Foundation, Incorporated (FEMFI), International Maritime & Offshore Safety Training Institute (IMOSTI), Tropical Garden Resort (TGR), and Sabrina Fair Philippines, Inc. (SFPI) recently joined the DENR as partners to boost the management and protection of the endangered marine turtles in the Municipality of Naic. The MOA signing was held during the launching of the Naic Pawikan Conservation and Protection Project on January 31, 2012 at Brgy. Labac, Naic, Cavite.

The sandy beach of Brgy. Labac is a nesting ground of the olive ridley turtles. About 19 complete nests containing 1,887 eggs laid in this beach from October 15 to December 24, 2011 were protected and monitored for hatching by both the group of Wildlife Enforcement Officers (WEOs) and barangay officials of Brgy. Labac and Sabrina Fair Philippines, Inc.

The release of about 100 newly emerged olive ridley hatchlings to the sea is the highlight of the event.

To promote public awareness and participation, the marine turtle nesting diorama was set up by PAWB-Pawikan Conservation Project for exhibit during the launching.

International Maritime & Offshore Safety Training Institute (IMOSTI), which is one of the conservation partners, sponsored the painting contest with the theme Pawikan, Yaman ng Karagatan Kaya Sagipin, Arugain, Padamihin!
